Discover the Forest

Every year our four sections of 1st grade each take a different habitat to explore.  One habitat is deciduous forests, and the website Discover the Forest proved to be a great way to introduce the topic.  The website has several different games where students identify different plants and animals found in this habitat.  There is a great deal of multimedia content that the students loved.  The best part is that the activities on the website all tie directly to activities students can actually do outside, and there is even a guidebook of things to do in the forest.
